Within the Mobile Services Department, you will work on current topics (5G, virtualization, containerization...) in an international environment with teams based in France, Egypt, and Europe.
In close collaboration with the “New Mobile Services” project manager, Orange Innovation teams, and within a team of Expert Engineers, you will be responsible for developing and documenting engineering solutions related to a 4G/5G mobile core network for our Wholesale and B2B clients.
You will also work with Project Managers, Engineering and Operations teams at Orange Wholesale, as well as engineering teams from our clients
In this context:
You will first need to master the architectures and Call Flows of 4G/5G mobile networks and understand their implementation in container mode on a Telco Cloud infrastructure.
You will need to design technical solutions that meet the needs of client projects (HLD: High-Level Design, LLD: Low-Level Design) while maintaining platform operability in a CI-CD environment. You will need to document each topic and ensure knowledge transfer to operations and support teams. You will contribute to defining the roadmap for the 4G/5G core network solution to meet client needs in collaboration with the NSF (Network Software Factory) team in charge of development of new Network Functions. You will contribute to the deployment of the solution, its horizontal and vertical integration in a Lab, pre-production, and production environment. You will collaborate on support for different platforms, define test scenarios, perform tests, and analyze collected traces (.pcap) in an E2E environment (5G/VoLTE/IoT chain, etc.).

Graduate of a Software or Telecom Engineering school or equivalent, with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in telecommunications, particularly in mobile core networks. You have knowledge of the following technologies: Very good knowledge of the mobile networks domain (protocols, architectures, interworking). Mastery of GPRS/3G/LTE/5G architectures, engineering, and concepts. Practical knowledge of the following mobile core network elements: AMF/MME, SMF/SPGW-C, UPF/SPGW-U, AUSF-UDM, HSS-AUC, PCF/PCRF, CHF, DRA/DEA, N3IWF-ePDG, NRF, SCP, NSSF, EIR, CHF, SCEF/NEF, etc. Practical knowledge of 4G/5G signaling protocols and Gx, Gy, Gi interfaces. Knowledge of 4G/5G RAN radio networks. Practical knowledge of IPv4, IPv6 architectures, especially IP routing (IGP, BGP, etc.), IP QoS, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, IPSEC, etc. Knowledge of CI-CD integration and testing automation tools (GitLab, etc.). Practical knowledge of functional, performance, and E2E testing tools. Knowledge of security measures and technologies for mobile core networks. Ability to meet short deadlines and variable priorities. Experience with containerized (Kubernetes) mobile core network deployments in Telco cloud environments (Redhat OpenShift, etc.). You will work closely with the project manager, marketing teams, and clients to gather specific needs and constraints (from qualification to production/operation). You enjoy working in a team and cross-functionally. Rigor and curiosity are your strengths. You are attentive and able to translate client needs into technical requirements. You participate in the co-construction of the solution. You have good interpersonal skills and a good sense of oral communication. You enjoy sharing and communicating your proposals. Working in an Agile (SCRUM) environment is natural for you.
