Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
To administer all Microsoft Windows/VMWare platforms and related services availability, performance, security and competency in order to ensure Service Quality and end user satisfaction 
Description
Microsoft Server Administration
1.Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows/VMWare operating systems, to ensure that all requests and incidents are documented on HP Service Manager and Request Fulfilment modules.
2.Maintain, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory to integrate business applications, and facilitate CIB’s employees’ day to day work.    
3.Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft/VMWare -based application servers and different features (DFS, DNS, DHCP, IIS). 
4.Perform ongoing performance monitoring and resources utilization analysis to ensure that existing resources are utilized efficiently.  
5.Responsible for administration, management and troubleshooting all Virtual Desktop and Applications solution infrastructure serving the different bank users & departments, 
6.Plan, arrange and perform operating systems/software upgrades and patching, abiding by Change Management cycle.
7.Conduct health checks, risk assessments for the Microsoft Windows/ VMWare based platform and services and, to ensure that the application is working properly and problem free.
8.Support the bank strategy for implementing security baseline and apply PCI recommendation.
9.Ensure Microsoft based platforms and services’ availability in Disaster recovery situations.  
10.Support in troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server with SQL DB Administrator whenever needed.
11.Provide support for users, IT vendors, and other administrators during problems troubleshooting, projects, and implementations within scope.
12.Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation and provide continuous support to resolve critical issues on a 24/7 basis to maximize availability for the bank business services.
13.Participate in writing technical procedures, run books, documentations for Microsoft platform services.

14.Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Day-to-day management
15.Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the IT Infrastructure Management department to ensure continuity of work
Compliance
16.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
 


Qualifications:
Bachelor degree of Engineering, Computer science or its equivalent
Administrator: Minimum 2-3 years of extensive experience in  Microsoft administration role
Senior Administrator: Minimum 4-5 years of extensive experience in  Microsoft administration role
Good Knowledge in using the following technologies:
o    Microsoft software products: (LDAP, Active Directory, IIS, DFS, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and Direct Attached Storage, High Performance Networking).
o    Storage, Security and Networking concepts
o    VMWare: ESXi, vCenter, vMotion and DRS  
o    Citrix Xen App and Desktop technologies
o    Operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Linux 
o    Others:  LDAP, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and Direct Attached Storage, High Performance Networking
Recommended Certifications:
o    Microsoft Technical Certificates
o    VMware Certified Professional
o    Citrix technical Certificates


Skills:
Good command of English and Arabic languages
Good Communication and presentation skills
Good Analytical skills
