What are my responsibilities?
- Possess in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in railways systems, including various subsystems. and should be capable of diagnosing complex technical issues, analyzing data, and proposing effective solutions.
- Responsible for devising and implementing maintenance strategies that minimize downtime and disruptions to metro services. This involves developing maintenance schedules, coordinating planned maintenance activities, and optimizing maintenance processes to ensure the system's reliability.
- Responsible for technical troubleshooting problems, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Quick thinking and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.
- Adhere to safety regulations, standards, and protocols, responsible for overseeing safety inspections, and audits, and implementing safety improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and other departments, and work closely with the Section Manager and other senior staff to align maintenance goals with the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
- Balance the need for effective maintenance with cost considerations, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
- Track key performance indicators, analyze trends, and initiate improvements to enhance the overall performance and efficiency of the system.
- Facilitate, provide, and plan training sessions and encourage professional development among team members.
- Ensure all relevant documentation is maintained and updated for reference and regulatory compliance.
- Responsible for the budget of materials, spare parts and personnel used by his services.
- Responsible for the safety of the work for his subordinates and the used equipment, and tools.
- Follows the applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Execute the maintenance and repair activities for the relevant equipment according to the work plan and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure the quality of the work crew, tools, equipment, machinery, and vehicles, operated/used.
- Supervise technicians and workers.
- Follow the applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures special requirements (protective clothing, etc.) and
- Liaise maintenance planning.
- Ensure the safety of his subordinates and the used equipment and tools.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, 3 years of them within the field of administration, project management skills and desirable in the public transportation business.
- English Fluency.
- Ability to Manage a team.
