Responsibilities:

Field Safety responsible works together with the Project Managers, with Site Managers and with Project Design Authority.

It is responsible to evaluate that, for any work performed in an railway installation already in service (installation of new equipment, internal test, commissioning test, customer acceptance test, etc.), all the safety conditions are met to assure that the work is performed in a safe manner and taking into account all the required measures for avoiding any incident or accident during the execution of this works.

For this function, the following tasks are under the responsibility of the Field Safety Responsible:

• Review of test plan and test specification of the different Works (preliminary field test, commissioning test, customer acceptance tests, etc.)
• Review of the Customer Instruction for the regulation of works.
• Evaluation that the proper safety measures required for the specific work are considered and proper planned
• Generation of the Field Safety Check List with the result of the previous activities, and of the corresponding reports

In addition, the Field Safety responsible works together with the Safety Manager of the projects, supporting him in the following activities

• Safety Audits in the field, and corresponding Audit reports
• Support in the elaboration of the field installation and testing safety reports

Requirements:

• Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical.
•  Railway signaling principles knowhow.
• Experience in railway signaling projects, mainly on the installation, test and commissioning or maintenance activities.
• Customer facing experience.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts.
• Ability to write professional and technical reports and procedures.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
• Fluent English Speaker.
