Role Objectives:
They play a crucial role within organizations by providing legal advice, guidance, and representation on a wide range of matters and helping the business perform optimally within the law.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day legal request services, advice, and matter management in support of the business units and functions.
- They apply their legal expertise to contracts, compliance, disputes, transactions, and other matters to mitigate risk and facilitate business objectives.
- They provide legal guidance on various issues, including compliance with laws and regulations, contracts, employment matters, intellectual property, corporate governance, and risk management.
- Legal counsel assists in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, vendors, and other third parties. They ensure that the organization's interests are protected and that the contracts comply with legal requirements
- They work to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively, minimizing legal risks and financial losses.
- They monitor legal developments and advise on necessary changes to policies and procedures to maintain compliance
- They ensure that the organization operates following legal and ethical standards.
Required Education, Knowledge, And Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in law (a master’s degree in law or otherwise is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience required in reputable law firms and/or multinational corporates.
- Extraordinary communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and negotiation abilities,
- Deep understanding of business and commercial law.
- Legal counsel must also be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
