Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Appeal Lawyer based in Egypt to manage the company’s legal cases related to debt recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in litigation, with a focus on appeals, court representation, and enforcement actions. This position requires advanced legal acumen, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, file, and follow up on debtor-related cases across Egyptian courts.
- Monitor and adhere to all deadlines for court filings and legal submissions.
- Draft, review, and file legal briefs, memos, and documents for all judiciary stages, including First Instance and Appeal courts, as well as execution proceedings.
- Lead and manage the execution phase to ensure effective enforcement of court judgments.
- Monitor and oversee the recovery process until debts are fully resolved.
- Represent the company in court hearings, including appeal courts, ensuring well-prepared and compelling legal arguments.
- Conduct in-depth legal research to support and strengthen cases.
- Provide strategic legal advice to the company to minimize risks and improve recovery outcomes.
- Work closely with internal teams, including finance and collections, to gather and verify required documentation and evidence.
- Collaborate on prioritizing cases and developing strategies to achieve successful debt recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings, case developments, and outcomes.
- Prepare and present bi-weekly or monthly reports for senior management, including:
- Updates on case progress and significant developments.
- Strategic recommendations for next steps, such as settlements or further litigation.
- Financial summaries of recovered amounts and associated costs.
- Handle negotiations with debtors post-write-off, where applicable, to secure favorable settlements.
- Ensure prompt responses to emails and inquiries to maintain seamless communication.
- Provide additional support as needed to ensure successful legal operations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- License: Admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association and registered as an Appeal Lawyer.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years in litigation, with significant experience in appeals and debt recovery cases.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of Egyptian legal procedures, especially in debt collection and contract enforcement.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently and prioritize effectively.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic is mandatory. Basic to intermediate proficiency in English is preferred for internal communication.
