Job Description
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will work alongside senior engineers to help build, maintain, and improve the tools and infrastructure that support our platform. You will assist in the following tasks:
- Support the creation, maintenance, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for various applications.
- Assist in the management and monitoring of platform health, uptime, and performance.
- Help build and automate infrastructure using containers (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, ECS).
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Contribute to infrastructure documentation and best practices.
- Assist in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Help manage deployment processes and automate testing for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Learn about scaling infrastructure and assist with basic implementation strategies.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience or strong academic background in DevOps or related field.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Basic experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools in the DevOps space.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to receive guidance from senior team members.
Additional Information
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Exposure to serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda).
- Familiarity with security practices, including PCI compliance.
