Job Description

1. Maintain current knowledge of available patches, decide what patches are appropriate, ensure that patches are installed properly, test systems after installation, and document all associated procedures.


2. Evaluate patches to determine their criticality, impact on the services, and compatibility with existing infrastructure & Applications.


3. Generate reports on patch management activities, compliance status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.


4. Act as point of contact for managing and delivering various vulnerability and remediation reports, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.


5. Assist in formulating vulnerability management frameworks and working structures for initiatives associated with Application infrastructure technology and system admin teams through maintaining an up-to-date understanding of emerging cyber threats facing financial institutions


6. Ensure smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, infrastructure, and applications owners, IT Security, project managers, end users, and IT management.


7. Oversee the design of the patch management environment’s documentation through detailed topology, develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed and analyse system requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.


8. Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact, adhere to Information Security guidelines in all cases, report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.


9. Lead the interactions with the vendors, including troubleshooting issues with vendors; evaluating vendor products, services, and suggestions and building effective relationships with key stakeholders who own and support IT infrastructure, applications, processes, and operations.


10. Ensure maintaining and reporting application patches and vulnerability remediation metrics to demonstrate progress and potential areas in need of improvement.
