IT Application - Senior Specialist

• Responsible for managing projects and monitoring the installation of systems and applications. This responsibility involves developing a plan, securing employees, contractors, or vendors with the necessary technical skills, assigning duties, coordinating tasks, and ensuring the project completion is on time and within budget. An important part of managing this kind of IT project is identifying and mitigating risks in the project's lifetime with effective design and processes.
  
• Create and maintain standards, procedures, and documentation which may include participation in IT audits and other processes to ensure the integrity of IT systems. Also involve implementing system changes and administering access to information and systems using IT security policies, standards, and guidelines.
  
• Collaborate with IT team, and vendors to develop goals for new applications and create system maps and business processes.
  
• Effectively communicating with various organizational levels and end users ensures that application managers succeed in their projects.
  
• Identifying, managing, and escalating project risks and issues to a successful resolution, ensuring services are ready before implementing systems and monitoring the rollout to find any problems.
  
• Balance risk to meet the needs of their organization by providing strong security, excellent systems technical support, and fast resolution to issues.
  
• Manage the life cycle of any application from its beginning to the end of its life. May work with IT teams to manage the application life cycle, including disciplines. The life cycle duties may also include software development, quality assurance, testing, deploying applications, and maintenance.
  
• Ongoing technical support as a key duty of IT Application Senior Specialist as he will be responsible for resolving issues relating to servers, networks, database management software, operating systems, and business application software systems.
  
• Provide needed technical support to IT teams to support them in their duties.
  
• Other aspects of these duties may include coordinating and managing the purchase, installation, and configuration of desktop computers and application software upgrades.
  
• Analyze and report on application performance metrics.
  
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  
• Manage the development and testing of new software features.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for application support.
  
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  

·Educational Requirements:

oA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

·Experience Requirements:

oProven experience (3-5 years) in application support or a similar role., with a successful track record of implementing Odoo ERP solutions.

·Key Skills & Core Competencies :

• Strong understanding of software systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  
• Experience with system administration and maintenance.
  
• Familiarity with database management and SQL.
  
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is A MUST
  
• Odoo certification (preferred).
