Statsbomb was founded in January 2017 to provide data, analytics, and consultancy to football clubs, media, and sports betting companies. Statsbomb continually undertake new research and is well-known in the analytics industry for providing unique insights into the game of football. We have developed our own proprietary industry-leading data collection and analytics software with a user-friendly high-vis front end.
Statsbomb has grown from our initial team of 3 at the start of 2017 to over 1000 employees based in the UK, US, and Egypt, and we are continuing to grow and expand our operation. We currently process over 600 games per week across 80 European and American leagues, with over 30 million events daily, and cover more than 80 leagues globally.



In August 2024, we became Hudlstatsbombas we were acquired by Hudl, the world's leading provider of cloud-based technology connecting video and data for the sports industry. The combination of Statsbomb's advanced data sets, innovative visualizations and powerful user interface and Hudl's integrated suite of video and data solutions will strengthen key workflows and provide deeper actionable insights to sports teams around the world.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Personnel:


  • Monitor attendance, track absences, and calculate deductions for unpaid leave.
  • Manage annual leave, sick leave, and other leave balances in compliance with Egyptian labor laws.
  • Assist in preparing employment contracts, onboarding new hires, and processing employee resignations or terminations.
  • Ensure proper handover and final settlement processes for departing employees.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized personnel files for all employees, including contracts, attendance records, and leave balances.

Payroll:


  • Accurately calculate and process monthly payroll, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits in compliance with Egyptian labor laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of employees’ salaries and deductions in the payroll system.
  • Ensure compliance with social insurance regulations and tax laws (e.g., income tax, stamp tax).
  • Submit required payments
  • Perform monthly payroll reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and auditors.
  • Maintain and update payroll systems with new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits adjustments.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with the company's partnered banks to streamline the account-opening process for new employees.
  • Follow up with the bank to ensure timely account activation.
  • Address any issues or delays in the account-opening process.

Education & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Payroll and Personnel Specialist, HR Operations or a similar role.
  • Good command of English language.
  • HR Diploma or a relevant certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Google workspace is a plus.
  • Attention to details.

  • Customer orientation.
