Cairo, Egypt (On-Site)
Job Purpose:- The HR Generalist is managing and supporting the day-to-day operation of assigned HR functions within Hitachi Rail Egypt including personnel management, recruitment, and employee engagement.
- The HR Generalist supports in the improvement of HR processes to proactively engaging the employee relations, the analyses of people information, and managing & implementing policies and procedures in support of the company culture.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:As HR Generalist, you will contribute to delivering some or all of these activities
Talent Acquisition:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned requisitions from requirements definition, sourcing, interviewing, selecting through to on-boarding
- Build and maintain a network of candidates for all business critical roles
- Manage all channels to the candidate market including employee referral, e-sourcing, online advertising and events
- Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates, searches, TA/hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities.
On/Off-boarding and Compliance:
- Manage the on-boarding, including preparing employment contracts, collecting the hiring documents, submitting new employee to Social Insurance
- Manage the Exit formalities process, including preparing the resignation documents and completing the employee final release from the company and from the Social Insurance
- Ensuring company compliance with the labor and social insurance laws on all personnel matters and issuing any necessary documents and reports required from official authorities (labor and social insurance offices)
- Responding to labor office requirements & audit
HR Operations:
- Creating and maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents and maintaining the employee database system.
- Utilize HRIS for streamlined people processes and data management.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance & Life Insurance addressing employee enrollments and concerns.
- Coordinate training, learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Support in preparing required HR related reports to meet any regulatory requirements
Employee Relations:
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues, including conflicts, performance concerns, and disciplinary actions.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Monitor employee morale and engagement and develop initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
Other HR duties and projects as assigned.
Experiences, Qualifications and Skills Requirements:- + 5 years of experience in an HR generalist role, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in a HR related field, business management / administration or equivalent but HR related Certifications in relevant fields is a must
- Solid understanding of labour laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
- Knowledge & experience in the HRMS system (e.g. SAP, Workday, KayanHR)
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Arabic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing employee records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to streamline HR processes and resolve employee concerns
- Computer proficiency, specifically with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Approachable and able to develop trusted relationships with people at various levels
- Ability to work with a high degree of discretion in an environment that requires confidentiality
