Job Description
Responsibilities and duties:
- Ensure adherence of permit to work (PTW) and other safe work practices in his assigned area
- Carry out safety inspections of Contractors and sub-contractors and their facilities on the workplace.
- Ensure that all site activities are conducted in compliance with QHSE Policy and Procedures.
- Ensure that all site activities are conducted in compliance with all applicable statutory codes, standards and/or regulations.
- Conduct and/or participate in Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis and evaluation audits.
- Ensure that risks in the work environment are maintained at a level which is as low as reasonably practicable
- Conduct Incident Investigations and prepare the final investigation reports.
- Organize and/or provide internal QHSE training (if needed).
- Deliver the awareness for regional campaigns like the Take Time.
- Develop Procedures and Work Instructions (as per our internal capabilities)
- Monitor HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) on site as per IMDG recommendations and the segregation table.
- Review QHSE Procedures for adequacy and accuracy or if need be, as after accidents.
- Conduct physical inspections of worksite like engagement programs, equipment, and other worksite locations.
- Monitor the traffic arrangements on site and make the required amendments as required to make sure that traffic flows smoothly and that all traffic rules are complied with.
- Review safety signs around the site to make sure that the required safety messages are there and maintained.
- Monitor truck drivers’ safety compliance on site and implement violations on violating truck drivers.
- Maintain the department documentation.
- Support in maintaining the QHSE Statistics.
- Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
Qualification, Experience and Certificates:
- Educational degree is must in Engineering.
- Certified safety professional and an accredited safety auditor from an internationally recognized Institute or Association
- NEBOSH IGC
- Driving License
- Safety Specialist certificate
- Train the Trainer
- Related Work Experience from 4 to 5 years in the same role
