You will implement the operational capabilities of the business and support the operational elements for the market. You will coordinate route planning, system capabilities and tools management for the sales team.


How you will contribute


You will:


  • Coordinate and initiate customer and employee master data changes for sales including processing of data.
  • Support the implementation of organizational realignments for master data and administrative processes.
  • Support the revision/development of relevant sales policies and administrative processes including the provision in suitable media.
  • Test for system implementation and system changes working closely with sales as well as various internal departments and external service providers.
  • Identify and implement master data simplification opportunities.

  • Basic knowledge of sales systems and tools (including SAP and MS Excel)

1. Sales Strategy and Planning:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve organizational sales targets and while delivering Sales fundamental KPIs across channels.
  • Analyze market trends, customers behaviors, and competitor activities to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Participate in Sales budgets, forecasting cycles, and IBP planning.
  • Participate & lead activity planning supporting company categories & brands across channels & regions.
  • Execute Route to market & Sales digitalization projects & expansions ensuring we build a strong, optimized, & effective sales organization.
  • Identify, & execute Coverage optimization & expansion opportunities & projects.

2. Team Leadership and Management:


  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, ensuring the achievement of individual and team targets.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for the sales team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales department.
  • Lead & work with distributor key functions to ensure smooth & optimized sales operations.

3. Customer Relationship Management:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement plans to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.

4. Sales Operations:


  • Oversee the development and implementation of sales processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices in sales operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare regular sales performance reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and optimize sales outcomes.
  • Work closely with Sales capability team to identify performance gaps, required capability programs, while ensuring effective delivery of these programs for relevant teams.

Education / Certifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree, a degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Job specific requirements:


  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Experience in Trade marketing, Route to market, sales development or sales capability is a plus.
