Job Description
Responsibilities and duties:
- Lead, monitor and review safe work behavior and practices.
- Ensure that asset performance, reliability and optimization programs are in line with business requirements and meets all stakeholder expectations.
- Develop an understanding of the operational priorities, equipment demands and maintenance priorities to ensure a seamless maintenance routine of all assets with minimal operational disruption.
- Effective management and scheduling of maintenance activities of assets to ensure optimal compliance with maintenance schedules and statuary obligations while considering operational and safety requirements.
- Develop, improve, and optimize management systems to optimize cost of maintaining and running equipment. Monitor the trends against agreed budgets and life cycle costs.
- Provide timely reports about equipment performance, budgets, expenses and other areas of business.
- Manage procurement, delivery, and commissioning of new equipment. Keep track of latest development in equipment technology and provide feedback during equipment selection and design.
- Develop and maintain an organization structure and a professional engineering team capable of meeting short- and long-term business objectives.
- Direct and drive performance management culture within the team ensuring that staff meet their targets which are set in line with the business and operational needs
- Propose and manage training programs to improve the competence and efficiency of engineering team. Coach the team to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure implementation of SOP for all maintenance activities to achieve safety for people, equipment, and site..
- Prepare operating budgets for maintenance.
- Monitor and manage costs for all maintenance activities and try to achieve the standard level of DPW for R&M cost.
- Ensure implementation of Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) maintenance strategy in cranes and follow up the regular inspections and ensure completion of recommendations.
- Follow up, monitor and support LEAN program and encourage all engineering team for efficient contribution of this program to enhance performance.
- Manage and monitor implementation of reliability programs with global team.
- Identify the specifications of the new equipment with procurement and engineering section in HO and follow-up the manufacture until delivering the equipment.
- Monitor and control the facility, UBI and project section and ensure doing a regular maintenance for all assets in the terminal with DPW standard.
- Monitor and follow-up the projects under progress on site.
- Monitor and manage all internal projects and ensure to accomplish the project schedule with efficient cost and time also ensure a proper handover all project to the project owner
Qualification and Certificates:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in managerial level
- Excellent experience in automation technology, PLC (siemens and codesys) and drives (siemens master ,simoreg and sinamics drives / and danfoss drives)
- Excellent experience within Container, Bulk and GC Port sector
- Fully conversant with safety procedures
