MaxAB is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Data to lead our data team and drive our data strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record in data science, machine learning, data engineering, and data products. They will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with executive leadership to define and prioritize data initiatives that align with business goals. Communicate complex data concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Technical Leadership
Oversee the development and implementation of data science, machine learning, and data engineering projects. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of data infrastructure and data products. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of data innovation.
4.Data Strategy and Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that drives business growth and operational efficiency. Identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance decision-making, optimize processes, and deliver superior customer experiences. Monitor and evaluate the impact of data initiatives on business outcomes
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience
8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, data engineering, or related fields. 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams and driving data strategies. Proven experience in an ecommerce or fintech environment is a plus.
Skills
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Deep understanding of data science, machine learning, data engineering, and data products. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).* Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies
