Job Description
The Functional Testing Analyst is responsible for the planning, design, execution, and documentation of functional test cases for software applications. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that software products meet functional requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create test plans and test cases based on functional requirements and design documents.
- Perform functional testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure software functionality meets user requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and quality assurance team members to ensure timely and accurate testing.
- Document and track defects using defect tracking tools.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend solutions.
- Participate in software release activities such as release testing and support.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in functional testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Functional Testing Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of functional testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
