A leading grower in the agriculture field is seeking a Financial Controller specialized in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector. This pivotal role will play a key part in managing financial strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving profitability. As a Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial operations and provide critical insights to enhance the success of our clients in the FMCG industry.
Responsibilities: - Lead and develop the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to drive business strategies
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations specific to the FMCG sector
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment opportunities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support operational decisions
- Monitor market trends and competitor performance to inform financial strategies
- Act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Stay updated with FMCG industry trends and changes affecting finance
Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar finance leadership role, preferably in the FMCG sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (CPA/CMA) preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
- Experience with inventory management and cost control in FMCG is a significant advantage
