Job Description
Overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, Taxes and managing a team of accountants. Play a crucial role in maintaining financial health by enforcing policies, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations
Detailed responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting:
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Provide financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and performance indicators.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
2. Month-End and Year-End Close:
• Manage and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all entries are complete and accurate.
• Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations.
• Ensure that closing schedules are met and financial results are reported in a timely manner.
3. Internal Controls and Compliance:
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations (tax laws, reporting standards, etc.).
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and implement changes as needed.
• Coordinate and support external and internal audits
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
• Monitor vendor and customer account reconciliations.
• Ensure the company meets payment deadlines and optimizes cash flow management.
5. Tax Reporting and Compliance:
• Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns (income tax, VAT, sales tax, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Liaise with tax advisors and external auditors regarding tax matters and audits.
6. Process Improvement:
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
• Lead or participate in the implementation of new accounting systems or software.
7. . Team Management:
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring that team members are trained and developed.
• Provide performance feedback and manage the performance appraisal process.
• Allocate tasks and workloads within the department to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Finance /Accounting / related field
10-12 years of experience in the Accounting (preferably manufacturing)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PPT skills is a plus)
Good English language
Costing Experience (Preferably)
Strong analytical approach, tactical awareness, and excellent interpersonal skills.
MS Dynamics knowledge is a plus
