Summary

This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Office Of Consumer Financial Protection. This position serves as a(n) Fair Lending Examiner, responsible for examines credit unions for compliance with federal fair lending laws and regulations and serves as a technical advisor on fair lending matters.

Duties



As a(n) Fair Lending Examiner, you will:
Conduct fair lending examinations and supervision contacts to assess compliance with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). Serve as a technical expert on fair lending and other federal consumer financial protection laws and regulations. Contribute to implementing and assessing program procedures for fair lending and other consumer financial protection laws and regulations. Review, analyze, and report on fair lending and other consumer financial protection regulatory matters, including violations of laws and regulations. Evaluate compliance with federal fair lending and consumer compliance regulations.

Qualifications



Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
All applicants applying for the CU-13 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 level obtained in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience:
1) Examining or auditing financial institutions for compliance with fair lending laws and regulations; AND
2) Assessing and providing guidance in the area of fair lending to financial institutions.

SALARY: Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position in accordance with NCUA's compensation policy.The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes the locality rate for the Location Negotiable After Selection, United States geographical area. The salary range shown is NCUA's National Pay Rate (NPR) which includes a locality rate of 16.32% for the Rest of the U.S. (RUS) geographical area. Actual salary will be determined upon the location of the selectee and the applicable locality pay, per the NCUA's CU pay table, will be applied.
