Job Description

Overview PepsiCo is looking for a Senior SAP Basis Administrator to join our global enterprise solution team and support our SAP applications and infrastructure. As a Senior SAP Basis Administrator, you will be responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting SAP systems, working with functional teams, key-users, and other technical teams to provide solutions and lead SAP Landscape activities. Responsibilities Lead and manage resolution of any issues arising in the SAP systems installed in PepsiCo, including SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ECC, SAP CRM, SAP PO, SAP Portal, SAP BW on HANA, SAP BODS, SAP BI Platform, SAP SLT, eHANA, Focused Run, SAP GRC, SAP Solman, SAP ADS, SAP Fiori, Cloud Connector, Web Dispatcher, SAP LaMa, SAP Mobile Platform, etc. Take the leadership of solving complex issues, engaging the functional teams, vendors, or key-users, and using advanced tools such as Willy Introscope/HANA Studio where required. Coordinate and facilitate activities with Global technical teams such as Linux/Network/Cloud/DBAs. Partner with Release Mgmt. for optimal downtime activity sequencing, including risk mitigation. Provide expert support for incidents, Root Cause for issues which can span across multiple technology areas. Engage in capacity Management for on-Premise and Cloud Infrastructure, including scale-out/scale-up HANA scenarios. Support and guide Project teams for any activities related to Sustain (Operational Readiness Testing, Technical Cutover, transport migration, rollback plans…) Participate and engage in SAP version upgrades. Lead and manage administration tasks such as SAP refreshes, Support Pack upgrades, kernel upgrades, host agent updates, Add-on installations, Printer setup, certificate installation, etc. Represent Basis in the monthly maintenance windows, engaging in ramp-down/ramp-up activities, validations, escalations and providing expert support for any issues. Manage hardware repair work for on-premise HANA appliances and OS Patching/OS Upgrades Analyze TPO recommendations and setup calls with SAP and vendors as needed Ensure compliance with change management processes and procedures Orchestrate any necessary activities involving ad-hoc backup/recovery and archiving of the SAP systems Integrate SAP systems with other internal or external systems (SSO, RFCs, SAML, LDAP, odata…) Represent Basis in Disaster recovery and High Availability failover activities Provide know-how on Architecture design topics, load balancing, resiliency setups and advanced configuration such as data Masking/Scrambling Willingness to mentor more junior team members on a certain technology area. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 6 - 8 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, preferable on HANA Depth of experience of the major SAP components, preferably with large customers and complex landscapes on Cloud. Team management (External) & Coordination (Internal & external), SAP Managed Service provider support/governance, Critical incident management. In-depth awareness of IT technical infrastructure and Architecture topics Good Communication, Facilitation, Coordination, Governance, Managing teams, plus experience leading PoC and complex scenarios. Excellent analytical skills, ITIL Knowledge Certifications of SAP, HANA, OSDB migration is an advantage
