About the Role
As an Educational Consultant you will be responsible for achieving sales growth and driving brand awareness of the Macmillan Education blended learning portfolio. This includes developing business opportunities across multiple cities from Cairo to Upper Egypt. You will be driven, commercially aware, with strong consultative sales skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service. In this position you will build and maintain strong relationships with local representatives, key distributors, schools and other educational organisations within the territory.
This role will be based in our Cairo offices on a hybrid working pattern.
Role Responsibilities:
Achieve sales targets and drive sales growth and opportunities for all Macmillan Education products throughout Egypt
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
Extensive promotional activity across agreed territory to promote products, build relationships and drive brand awareness
Work with the Senior Sales Lead to implement strategies to achieve sales targets and strong growth across multiple cities from Cairo to Upper Egypt.
Full sales responsibility for selected territories, as agreed with the Senior Sales Lead.
Extensive promotional activity in agreed territories to promote and sell print and digital resources from Macmillan Education blended learning portfolios
Conduct school visits into all agreed priority schools
Align visiting strategies with Egypt core product strategy, planned product promotions and developments in the digital portfolio
Update and maintain adoptions tracker.
Ensure key accounts have the required support with digital implementation
Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, schools and other Educationalorganisations throughout the agreed territory.
Conduct local market research to support market insights and strategic approach.
Update NEXUS (CRM) daily with information aligned to NEXUS strategy. Ensure all pre and post activity is added and use NEXUS to form discussions with Managers.
Provide timely customer service for all contacts in the territory and follow up on all potential leads, whether self or centrally generated.
Liaise with the Academic Services team to identify promotional opportunities such as workshops and teacher training.
Manage sample requirements carefully, leading with digital first.
Use sales data and market knowledge to assist in the forecasting process.
Support the academic services team with teacher training as required
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Essential
Educated to degree level
Driving license
Willingness to travel for the role (please note responsibilities will include extensive travel throughout the Cairo region)
Strong demonstrable english teaching experience.
Drive and determination to generate sales growth
Strong consultative sales skills
Commercially astute
Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong numeracy skills
Exceptional customer service skills and an understanding of why this is important
Ability to work well in a small team but also function independently
Good level of competence using Microsoft Office (including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Experience in a consultative sales role with demonstrable examples of sales achievements, preferably within the education sector

Knowledge and experience of the publishing industry and digital content delivery
