Job Description
Job Purpose
To safely operate passenger coaches, crew buses, and other vehicles to provide efficient and courteous transportation services for passengers, crew members, VIPs, and other designated personnel while adhering to safety and operational standards inside and outside airport premises.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Operate passenger coaches, crew buses, VIP vehicles, and other assigned transportation equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide timely and courteous transportation for passengers, crew members, and VIPs between airport terminals, aircraft, hotels, and other designated locations.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Report any vehicle defects, maintenance needs, or operational concerns promptly to the relevant department.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring a high level of customer service and safety.
- Maintain an organized schedule to meet transportation requirements as directed by dispatch or supervisors.
- Handle and secure baggage and other personal belongings as needed while ensuring proper storage within vehicles.
- Follow airport safety regulations and traffic guidelines, ensuring smooth operations on the ramp and within airport premises.
Key Result Responsibilities - Continued
- Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle usage, and service times as required by company policies.
- Coordinate closely with other ground handling teams to ensure seamless support for aircraft and passenger operations.
- Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniform guidelines, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
- Support emergency or irregular operations, including diversions, delays, and special transportation needs.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, crew, and VIPs, addressing inquiries courteously and escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of vehicles after each shift.
- Comply with all airport authority and company policies regarding driving and operational standards.
- Identifying and reporting all occurrences, hazards, operational irregularities, unsafe conditions or practices in a timely manner and be familiar with company SMS policies and responsibilities.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License
- Valid airport driving permit (ADP) and relevant licenses to operate designated vehicles. Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in vehicle driving,
- Strong knowledge of airport layouts, terminal locations, and airside regulations.
