Job Description
Overview:
The document controller will be responsible for meticulously reviewing a variety of documents, including functional and technical requirements, system specifications, and reports, to guarantee clarity, consistency, and adherence to project standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of technical writing principles. The reviewer will need to be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to help maintain the integrity of the project's documentation and ensure it meets the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Technical Documents: Scrutinize functional and technical requirements, system specifications, integration designs, test plans, and reports, ensuring they are free of errors, well-structured, and easy to understand.
- Ensuring Editorial Quality: Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style, maintaining consistency in terminology, formatting, and tone throughout all deliverables.
- Providing Constructive Feedback: Offer clear, actionable feedback to technical writers and other contributors to improve the clarity and overall quality of documentation.
- Ensuring Compliance: Check that all documents adhere to the project's established guidelines and standards.
- Collaborating: Work closely with project managers, system engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure that all technical documentation meets the highest standards.
- Maintaining Documentation: Help organize and maintain a central repository for all documentation, ensuring it is easily accessible and up-to-date.
- Identifying Gaps: Analyze documents to find gaps in information, inconsistencies, or contradictions and recommend actions to address them.
- Printing & Submitting document and receive client response.
