About the location:
Seaside glamour on the Egyptian riviera; with Egyptian underpinnings and a sleek waterfront setting, our resort-style Hotel embodies modern Alexandria and its unique cosmopolitan flare. On one side, the Mediterranean Sea glistens in the sun; on the other, a dynamic metropolis buzzes with life. This stunning resort-style hotel opened in June 2007 and has a combination of classic hotel design and modern and contemporary beach suites and villas. Our hotel is connected to a shopping mall, it has 154 rooms including 31 Suites, 30 Beach Suites and 6 Villas with private pools, a private beach, a sea water infinity beach pool and a heated indoor pool, Spa and Fitness Center, and 10 food and beverage venues including an open-air 350 seat beach restaurant.

About the role
Four Seasons Alexandria is looking for a Director of Safety who has the ability to Identify hazard, conduct risk assessment, operate heavy motor equipment at maximum operating efficiency consistent with needs, safety, and mechanical limitations of the equipment. Work cooperatively with other City employees and the public, communicate orally with customers, clients, or the public in face-to-face one-on-one settings.
What you will do
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service. Must attend the required ten hours of annual training required to maintain certifications of Emergency Medical Technician Basic. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required The ability to respond to all guest in a timely manner. The ability to assist Shift engineers on major shutdowns for repairs. The ability to maintain logs for all work performed while on duty within department and those in other departments as they apply to Engineering Repairs. The ability to assist in installing or relocating any additional or existing equipment when necessary.
What you bring
. Engineering University Degree (Mechanical/Electrical).
. From two to five years of management employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
. Knowledge of:
Safety law requirements. Operational hazards and standard safety practices. Record keeping and report writing. Firefighting principles and practices. Hydraulics and their application to the operation of fire apparatus. Fire Department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. The geographical layout of the property, and hydrant locations. Emergency Medical techniques. Fire salvage and overhaul operations.
