The Opportunity


We are seeking a managerial level candidate, for the position of Diabetes Partner.


As a Diabetes Partner, you will play a critical role in bridging the diabetes and ophthalmology specialties, driving awareness and promoting timely referrals for diabetic patients to ophthalmologists. 


Your focus will be on building a strong referral network, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and improving patient outcomes by enhancing the management of diabetes-related ocular complications.


Your Impact


  • Referral Network Development: Establish and maintain relationships with diabetes specialists, creating a streamlined referral process for patients in need of ophthalmic care.


  • Engagement with Specialists: Implement engagement plans to educate diabetes doctors on the importance of regular eye assessments for their patients.


  • Policy Advocacy: Work with the access team and health authorities to integrate ophthalmology referrals into diabetes protocols, advocating for mandatory eye assessments for diabetic patients before medication dispensing.


  • Project Management: Oversee referral network and educational projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery; assess and report on program effectiveness.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with customer-facing, marketing, and medical teams to align on strategies, fostering communication between ophthalmology and diabetes specialists.


  • Customer Engagement: Identify and update customer personas, organize group meetings, implement campaigns, and gather market insights for decision-making.


  • Stakeholder Experience: Ensure positive stakeholder engagement with Roche products and services, uphold safety protocols, and participate in internal discussions on achievements and challenges.


Who you are


  • You hold a scientific degree, with over 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, experience in project management and collaboration, and a preference for diabetes market knowledge


  • Demonstrate a strong, personal commitment to creating value and improving the patient journey for those living with diabetes


  • Embed strategies focused on better patient journeys, with an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset


  • Focus on growth and integrity: Display agility in learning and unlearning, experiment with new approaches, and uphold high ethical standards


  • Engage with healthcare professionals using strong interpersonal and communication skills, manage multiple projects effectively, and analyze data for actionable insights


  • Deliver impact-driven outcomes: Establish a referral network between diabetes and ophthalmology within a year, create educational programs within six months, contribute to policy discussions, and report on patient outcomes.
