Project & Development Services - MENA
JLL (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.
We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.
About the Role: We are seeking a talented Design Manager to join our Project & Development Services (PDS) team in Cairo. This role is integral to our operations, overseeing the design process for diverse commercial real estate projects across Egypt. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative vision and practical expertise to deliver exceptional design solutions that meet our clients' needs and adhere to local regulations.
What This Job Involves:
• Leading design teams through all project phases, from concept to delivery.
• Developing and maintaining project design briefs.
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other consultants.
• Reviewing and approving design documents.
• Managing client expectations and communicating design concepts.
• Ensuring compliance with local building codes and sustainability standards.
• Implementing quality control measures.
• Coordinating with project managers on timelines.
• Addressing design-related issues promptly.
• Staying updated on industry trends and innovative design solutions.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in design management (3+ years in leadership role).
• Strong portfolio showcasing commercial real estate projects.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
• Excellent knowledge of Egyptian building codes and regulations.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with international clients.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Creative thinking with attention to detail.
• Commitment to sustainable design principles.
