DCM SharePoint Technical Lead

about the role



Key accountabilities:



- Analysis new requests and requirements and provide feedback on feasibility
- Lead projects and define architecture of the new evolution and propose improvements of existing infrastructure
- Propose & create high level solution design for business team & get agreement from all stakeholders
- Setup architecture, process & design high level application solution along with development team to work.
- Setup standard guidelines & processes for development & support team to improve deliveries & quality of project.
- Responsible for setting up defect tracking system and follow resolution of defects
- Manage team activities for L2/L3 support to handle production issues for assigned applications within defined SLAs
- Work with Head of DCM, Tech Leads and vendors to setup standard guidelines, co-ordinate technical sessions
- Partner with architecture group to deliver DCM solutions and other SharePoint based design documentation
- Performing diagnostic analysis of the network and suggest improvements
- Planning and implementing Solution upgrades to achieve optimal performance
- Identifying and resolving faults/errors in the platform
- Responding to solution cyber-security threats
- Ensuring the solution platform are updated to the latest releases
- Liaising with vendors and contractors for solution products and services
- Responsible for all aspects of the application security
- Responsible for maintaining Disaster Recovery Plan
- Responsible for any technical or security related audits
- Supporting development of the DCM infrastructure team

Deliverables:



- Suggest and implement technical solutions for the requirements
- Take overall responsibility for leadership, control and decision making for ensuring that all operational activities are satisfactory performed within agreed SLA’s and in accordance with process.
- Responsible for providing RCA and diagnosis of all issues to Head of DCM and stakeholders
- Responsible for technical documentation, coding accuracy, software configuration, version control and code reviews
- Focused primarily on learning to produce quality technical specification, getting familiar with Application 's code base, and debugging code
- Setup guidelines for maintaining secure and good quality applications
- Support team is resolving critical issues, setting up correct architecture of applications.
- Prepare and update development documents
- Manage the software code using version control softwares
- Manage and take ownership of the DCM infrastructure (VMs etc.)
- Lead long term solution to provide better response time over period of time
- Follow SDLC processes using Agile methodology
- Support regression and integration testing
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Motivate and manage team members to ensure their productivity and collaboration.
- Work with Head of DCM/DCM Tech lead/Application managers to ensure the infrastructure is able to achieve the strategies and directions of DCMs

about you



Educational background:
- B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent
- Fluent in English, French is a plus

Professional Experience:



- 10+ years in MS SharePoint solution design & maintenance
- Preferred: 2+ years as Solution Architect & in Application/People Management

Knowledge and Abilities:



- MS Platform Knowledge:
- Understanding of MS Platform as a Service
- Network Protocols:
- Awareness of protocols like HTTP/S, FTP, SMTP, TCP, LAN, WAN
- MS Solutions:
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Active Directory, SQL, SCOM, disk storage, backup & restore
- People Management:
- Experience in team onboarding, activity management, and employee engagement
- Cloud Concepts:
- Well-versed in cloud-native concepts and methodologies
- Configuration Experience:
- Experience in modules like IM, CM, PM, SRM, KM, Release Management, Event Management, Configuration Management, and Asset Management
- Process Knowledge:
- Familiarity with process-driven applications
- SDLC Exposure:
- Exposure to all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (Agile methodology: Scrum)
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Good interpersonal skills, commitment, result-oriented, and eagerness to learn new technologies (micro-services, cloud-native, data analysis)
- SharePoint Customization:
- Knowledge of customizations within SharePoint, including SharePoint 2019 and SSE
