The Data Research Team ensures Data Management principles are applied to this vast data collection. We work to grow our Company Data, Project Data, and Materials Data reach and density, manage the existing database, and incorporate additional records while ensuring the quality of the data is the gold standard in the construction industry.
This entry-level position is part of the team that focuses on the management,
standardization, appending, and verification of our records. The work will focus mainly on jobs and entities in the construction industry, transcribing external records into structured fields - and validating entity information (websites, logos, key personnel, etc). Working on and researching ENR companies as well as matching projects and entities across different data sources. We also work closely with the data analytics team providing them with the data sets in they can use to start training their models so by time the results we get from them are as accurate as possible.

What you will do:



You will be extracting data from thousands of documents to gather company information, construction job details, and more. This data will be entered into our database using our proprietary software platform.
Put on your detective hat. You will be tasked with searching through various online sources and databases to find and validate firmographic information. This may include company website links, license information, key personnel and contact information, etc.
you will be part of the team responsible for maintaining its storage, flow to the proper internal stakeholders, and that it is meeting Procore’s quality standards. This will include updating demographic information in our database through data entry and publishing data records according to internal guidelines.

What we are looking for:



understanding of the Construction Industry work chain in the U.S.: You should have a basic working knowledge of the different types of companies in the construction industry and how they relate to each other (General contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.)
A high level of problem-solving ability as we identify content targets
Adaptability: We move fast at Procore.
Curiosity: There are insights we don’t yet know that will help our users. Always question how to make things better and how a new insight might help
someone within the industry we serve.
Online research proficiency
Keen eye for detail and accuracy
Proficient in Google Suite tools, especially sheets / Excel skills
Able to manage project activities as a team member, but also responsible enough to keep up with their work on their own.
Flexible to contribute to building new processes.
Ability to work curating new datasets that feed into important tool features for our users and performing quality checks on existing data sets for accuracy
