Data Quality Analyst
This role is all about ensuring that our data is accurate, well-structured, and truly useful. You’ll be the guardian of data quality—working closely with product managers and engineers to understand.
💼About the role
We’re looking for a mid level Data Quality Analyst to join our fun product team! Unlike a typical product analyst role that focuses on driving business change, this role is all about ensuring that our data is accurate, well-structured, and truly useful. You’ll be the guardian of data quality—working closely with product managers and engineers to understand, maintain, and improve the integrity of our data.
This position offers flexibility with a hybrid work setup, where you will have the option to work remotely part of the time. While the role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in-person, we understand the importance of work-life balance and are open to remote work arrangements based on your needs and performance.
💻What you’ll do
Ensure and Improve Data Quality: Monitor, validate, and troubleshoot data across multiple sources to ensure completeness and consistency. Systematically identify and implement improvements to data quality processes, proactively addressing issues and optimizing data workflows to enhance accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with Product & Engineering: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand how data is generated, stored, and used—raising and resolving quality issues as they arise.
Data Investigations: Identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and gaps in datasets, then work with relevant teams to diagnose root causes and implement solutions.
Build & Maintain Curated Datasets: Write queries to create and maintain well-structured, high-quality datasets used across the company.
Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain clear documentation on data definitions, sources, and validation processes to uphold data integrity.
Support Data Consumers: Be the go-to person for questions around data quality and structure.
👀
What We’re Looking For:
Detail-Oriented Mindset: You notice when things don’t add up and have a natural instinct to investigate.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a professional setting working closely with data, with a focus on data quality and integrity. A passion for
processes and automation, including the ability to set up and manage
alerts and other systems to proactively monitor data health and quality.
Thrilled with fixing data: Are the type of person who gets a little thrill from finding and fixing a hidden data issue.
Experience with SQL & Data Tools: You’re highly proficient in SQL and comfortable querying databases to build datasets and validate data quality.
Curiosity & Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy understanding how products work and aren’t afraid to ask questions to get to the bottom of data issues.
Strong Communication: You can explain data issues to engineers, product teams, and non-technical stakeholders in a way that makes sense.
➕
Bonus Points If You:
Know how to use Airflow for workflow automation, that’s a plus but not a necessity. Are familiar with how data moves through a system (ETL, data warehouses, APIs). Have worked with analytics platforms like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. Work on meaningful problems that impact education and learning outcomes. Be part of a collaborative team that values curiosity and getting things right. Opportunity to shape data quality best practices at a fast-growing company.
If you love making data clean, accurate, and reliable, we’d love to hear from you! Apply now and help us take data quality to the next level.
