Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will take a lead role in designing and implementing large-scale, reliable data systems. You’ll collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams to build robust pipelines, implement best-in-class architecture, and shape the future of our data stack. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, scale, and solving hard data problems with elegance.

Key Responsibilities:
● Architect, build, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines and workflows across the organization.
● Design and maintain enterprise-grade data models and ETL/ELT frameworks optimized for analytics and reporting use cases.
● Own the data infrastructure in AWS, and ensure seamless integration with Snowflake and other internal systems.
● Drive best practices in data governance, quality, security, and observability across the data lifecycle.
● Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions with measurable impact.
● Mentor junior engineers and help define engineering standards, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
● Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and practices for improving data workflows and infrastructure.
● Proactively monitor and improve pipeline performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
● 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building production-grade data platforms.
● Proven, hands-on experience with Snowflake—designing schemas, optimizing queries, managing roles and warehouses.
● Strong working knowledge of AWS services including S3, Redshift (if applicable), Lambda, Glue, and related tools.
● Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages: Python is preferred, but Java or Scala also acceptable.
● Solid experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and transformation frameworks like dbt.
● Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing principles, and performance optimization techniques.
● Ability to balance speed with reliability and scalability in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to lead by influence.
Nice to Have
● Experience with CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployments.
● Exposure to real-time or streaming data tools (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
● Familiarity with analytics
