Job Description

Role purpose:

Responsible for Vodafone Global Enterprise operational reporting and analysis. He/she will work
closely with VGE Business Units managers in providing the department with appropriate
analysis on the department’s KPIs along with customer specific reporting showing the
improvement and giving recommendations in order to support the decision-making process
as well as detecting/highlighting issues that may have impact on the business causing
revenue loss in addition to enabling VGE collecting VGE Invoices. He/she will be responsible
to implement and develop BI solutions including data modelling and system development
 




Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Develop financial reports that is used for billing and invoicing purposes based on the revenue generated (spend) from VGE accounts
• Developing operational KPI reports for governance purposes
• Work closely with service and account managers to provide them with customized reporting requirements, as well as providing improvement recommendations in order to support them in the decision-making process.
• Produce a wide set of reports (Customer Scorecards, Spend and usage Reports, Flat Rate Analysis, FUP reports, SLA/KPI Reports, Connections & Savings Reports, etc…)
• Maintain, enhance & develop for VGE operational & financial reporting and analysis.
• Support the VGE commercial teams in Pricing,
Bids, RFPs
• Support other VGE areas like: Sales, Business Planning, Finance, Billing Operations
• Support GSOC functions like Services & Products Delivery, Solutions Helpdesk, Portfolio
Management, etc…
• Translates business requirements into specifications used to implement the required reports and dashboards
• Creates reports to provide data analysis that fits for business needs and drives business decisions
• Responds to problems in databases, data processes, data products and services as they
occur
• Investigates different data sources on the possible transport technologies (stream/batch,
schedules/freshness)
• Collects, collates, cleanses, synthesises and interprets data to derive meaningful and actionable insights
• Maps systems and interfaces used to manage data
• Responsible for documenting Business Intelligence (BI) subject areas and integration
processes
• Ensures that data implementations align with the enterprise Information architecture, and meet the
applicable standards
• Develops Data Models designed by the Architects to extract and integrate data from various source systems with process documentation.
 




Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Have Bachelor degree in (Accounting/Business /Computer science is preferable)
• Have 2-3 years of experience in reporting/data analytics
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple activities under tight timeframes, while maintaining the professional standard.
• Experience of working on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results
• Understands business requirements, Drives improvements and process innovation
• have advanced analytical and data interpretation Skills , Stakeholders Management and being objective focused 




Must have technical / professional qualifications:

 Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, projects, SharePoint)
• Power BI is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of BO, SQL Developer or other equivalent report writer.
• Professional experience developing SQL Server database objects
• Create and write SQL code for Reporting database based on customer and internal report specifications.
• Professional experience with database architecture and schema design.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse & BI concepts
• Understands the concepts and principles of data modelling and is able to produce, maintain and update relevant data models for specific business needs.
• Uses the most appropriate medium to visualise/present data to tell compelling and actionable stories relevant for business goals
• Good knowledge in Big Data and Data Science technologies
• Very good knowledge in BI solutions and designing dashboards, cubes, and KPIs
• Hands on experience with all aspects of software development including gather requirements, analysis, design, dimension
building, data loading, optimization and front end development
• Hands on experience in different ETL tools (Datameer is a plus)
• Hands on experience in different Visualization/Analytical tools (Splunk is a plus)
