Credit Supervisor

Role Summary: The Credit Supervisor will oversee the credit operations of the company, ensuring efficient management of credit applications, risk assessments, and compliance with regulations. This role is critical for maintaining the financial health of the organization and supporting the sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Management
Department Structure: Maintain an effective organizational structure to meet departmental goals.
Staff Motivation: Foster a motivated and high-performing credit and collections team.
Performance Metrics: Measure and evaluate department performance using relevant metrics.
Training: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for credit staff.
Stakeholder Relations: Manage relationships with collection agencies, credit insurance providers, and the sales department.
Credit Operations
Policy Maintenance: Uphold and manage the corporate credit policy.
Policy Recommendations: Propose changes to credit policy based on analysis and best practices.
Credit Scoring: Develop and implement a credit scoring model to assess customer risk.
Customer Files: Manage and oversee customer credit files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Application Review: Personally investigate high-value customer credit applications and establish relationships through direct visits.
Periodic Reviews: Conduct regular credit reviews and monitor customer deductions.
Financing Program: Oversee the corporate financing program to optimize cash flow and credit risk.
SAP Knowledge: Utilize SAP systems for credit management processes, including data analysis, reporting, and tracking credit transactions.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in credit management, specifically within the IT industry.
Skills:
Expertise in credit management and risk assessment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze credit data effectively.
Proficiency in SAP for managing credit operations and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of credit principles and regulations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Management, or Business.
An MBA or CMA is preferred.
International Experience: Experience with international credit management is a plus.
