CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)
Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently or intensively.
ROLE PURPOSE:
• The Facilitator is accountable for: planning, preparing, and carrying out activities to support the children, youth and adolescents technically, psychologically, socially, and recreationally aiming for comprehensive improvement of the child's life skills
• Deliver training and capacity-building activities for children, youth, and families from refugees, migrants, and Egyptian communities in prevention, resilience, and protection interventions.
• S/he will work closely with the target group to ensure their life skills, personal resilience, and psychosocial support for them.
• Participate in developing adolescents’ development programs for children and families tailored to the resulting from the assessments
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: CP Coordinator
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Project Implementation
• Conduct vulnerability assessments to select at-risk children and youth for entry point activities.
• Facilitate and co-facilitate a rolling program of life skills training programs. Raise the awareness on child and adolescents’ rights and child protection issues
• Support cohorts of at-risk youth to lead community initiatives·
• Support education and child protection activities as needed.
• Ensure that activities are implemented following the Plan of Action (POA)
• Ensure that the activities are implemented in full respect to the child safeguarding policies of SC.
• Prepare for training sessions as per facilitator training manual.
• Adopting an interactive way and active learning methodologies during the training sessions
• Responsible for developing a monthly plan for the training sessions
• Participate in all related activities related to this program such as info sessions, education trips, other training workshops, parents meetings/training sessions, field visits, etc.
• Contribute to the development of project database, monitoring system, and carry out activities according to the agreed-upon indicators regularly
• Cooperate with the team members aiming the best interest of the child and his/her family.
Reporting and documentation
. Develop monthly reports reflecting the progress in the project implementation, highlight success cases, and document challenges encountered during the implementation of activities.
• Work with children and team members to monitor, document, and convey information and success stories.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in a Social Sciences, humanities, psychology, Or any relevant degree
• Minimum of 1-3 years of successful experience on the fieldwork preferably in raising awareness and positive discipline and strong experience of dealing with children and youth.
• Proven Expertise in designing and facilitating Life skills programs for children between 8 and 18 years old
• Proven knowledge and skills in activity planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
• Proven expertise in child protection and Child Resilience
• Evidence of analytical understanding and a commitment to improving child rights
• Good working knowledge of English and Arabic (reading and writing)
• Good training and facilitation skills
• Familiarity with Refugees context is an absolute advantage
• Report writing skills required
