Overview of the role



Manage Customs, Warehousing & Distribution for Ikea EGYPT. Also secures the handling of product-related Quality, safety, and environmental issues in an efficient and common way to support IKEA Al Futtaim stores in achieving growth and sustainable long-term profitability by following Inter IKEA routines and mandatories connected to Product deviation.
Product Quality and Compliance Management: Lead and ensure processes for product quality, compliance, and reporting across, while addressing national product legislation, safety standards, and local market deviations in coordination with IOS PR&C. Stakeholder Engagement and Authority Relations: Build strong relationships with national consumer authorities, manage product safety reporting and recalls, and represent IKEA in standardization efforts and compliance-related matters. Operational Support and Continuous Improvement: Support local teams in product investigations, safety alarms, and media attention, while driving the implementation of compliance tools, processes, and fostering a collaborative work environment aligned with IKEA values. Customs and Import/Export Management: Handle customs clearance for IKEA Egypt, ensuring compliance with regulations, timely duty payments, and efficient claims processing in collaboration with authorities and Finance. Logistics and Transport Coordination: Oversee the flow of shipping documents, secure approvals, and manage transport from ports to warehouses or stores, ensuring smooth cross-border clearance and timely deliveries. Warehouse Operations and Technology Integration: Supervise 3rd-party warehouse operations, ensure compliance with IKEA guidelines and IT systems, and adopt modern technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy. Supply Chain Optimization and Capacity Alignment: Regularly review supply chain systems, negotiate optimized routes, reduce costs through supplier and consolidation improvements, and align logistics capacity with expansion plans and commercial calendars.

What equips you for the role



+10 years of high-volume or multi-unit retail management experience 5-10 years Logistics management experience Strong mediation and counselling skills Strategic, analytical, and tactical abilities Deep knowledge of local laws, and regulations concerning the market Must have the ability to acquire and analyze local market demographics as well as economic and market. Knowledge of other IKEA organizations and how they work, including matrix partners and networks.
