About the job Counter Agent

Duties & Responsibilities: 
Understand Bank Transfers and Deposits: Handle daily bank transfers and deposits from customers to settle their invoices. Verify the accuracy of transfer details and ensure compliance with financial procedures and regulations.Release Shipping Documents: Issue shipping documents such as the Bill of Lading to the relevant parties involved in the shipping process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of the documents.Calculate and Collect Charges: Determine and collect applicable charges from customers.Solve Customer Issues: Address and resolve customer issues over the counter efficiently and effectively.Maintain Customer Waiting Time: Ensure customer waiting times are kept within target levels to enhance customer satisfaction.Adhere to Procedures: Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs).Coordinate with Internal Counterparts: Work with internal counterparts to facilitate counter-related activities smoothly.Outstanding Collections: Investigate and clear reported outstanding collections, ensuring real short payments are collected.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in any relevant field. 2-3 years of commercial experience in customer service or counter operations.Background experience in shipping industry is preferred.
