Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to lead our team in providing comprehensive cost management and quantity surveying services for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a proven track record in the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage a team of junior staff and graduates to meet business targets. Perform and oversee accurate and efficient take-offs. Prepare and review budget estimates, pre-contract cost estimates, and various stage cost plans. Develop and review Bills of Quantities and pre-tender cost estimates. Prepare tender evaluation reports. Review and negotiate prices with contractors. Prepare and oversee the preparation of contract documents. Review monthly payment valuations. Manage project change control for additional works. Price and check additional works and post-contract cost estimates, including validation and quantification processes. Review costings in conjunction with budgets. Prepare Final Accounts. Lead the cost reporting process for projects. Attend site meetings and design team meetings as required. Represent the company professionally and diligently.

Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cost management and quantity surveying. Proven experience in the Real Estate sector. Excellent pre and post-contract technical cost and commercial management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD. Experience with cost estimation and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or Candy). Excellent prioritization and self-management skills. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.

Preferred Qualifications:



Associate or Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Experience in Construction, Fit-out, and/or Renovation projects. Middle East work experience (not essential).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop junior team members. Hardworking and proactive with a passion for maintaining high standards. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills. Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently when required. Adaptable and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong knowledge and track record in applying IT-based solutions to cost management. Excellent technical skills in quantity surveying and cost estimation. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.
