The Cost Control Section Head position entails measuring financial and technical project standards, identifying gain or loss indicators, analyzing cost deviations per cost center, and providing corrective solutions. This role plays a critical part in maximizing profitability, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring projects adhere to budgetary constraints and timelines.
Key Accountabilities- Provide technical support for bid and contract management, including cost analysis of direct and indirect expenses.
- Prepare the estimated baseline budget for project costs, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
- Perform detailed cost estimation for direct, indirect, and overhead expenses across various construction projects, aligning with industry best practices and standard norms.
- Assist Project Managers in identifying and addressing cost deviations.
- Prepare and submit monthly cost reports, detailing the financial position of each project, recommending corrective actions for cost deviations.
- Review monthly project reports to evaluate financial and technical adjustments, ensuring compliance with cost control measures.
- Conduct regular meetings with Project Managers to assess adherence to budget, timelines, and actual project performance.
- Provide consolidated financial and non-financial reports, offering insights and analysis on project performance.
- Prepare periodical dashboard reports for management, outlining project cost compliance, identifying variances, and specifying corrective actions.
- Lead and manage the cost control team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in cost tracking and reporting.
- Ensure on-time reporting of cost analysis, recommendations, and financial updates.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience with Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 12:15 years in Cost Control Management and Planning within the construction industry,on-site construction experience is a must.
- Certified Cost Professional (CCP) from AACE International or an equivalent certification.
- Expertise in construction cost control software and methodologies.
- Strong ability to analyze cost structures, identify variances, and implement corrective measures.
- Ability to manage financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and strategic thinking for cost estimation and financial planning.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Negotiation and communication skills for engaging with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to coach and lead teams, ensuring cost control best practices are followed.
