·Create, adjust and implement cost control function objectives, processes, procedure in respect of the department’s management requirements and strategic interests.
·Coordinate with the department’s director to highlight the overall process application challenges, and give feedback and/or receive instructions on strategic development areas and opportunities.
·Manage and supervise all cost control function members.
·Ensure subordinates’ compliance with the company policies and the cost control procedures
·Set objectives for subordinates, follow up their performance with section heads and review their quarterly evaluation.
·Ensure that all cost control and reporting principles, processes and procedures are fully comprehended by subordinates.
·Ensure that all subordinates have the required documents/ inputs that allow for performing their duties, provide technical/ communication assistance whenever required, address their grievances, and maintain positive work environment.
·Communicate with other departments heads -when necessary- to resolve cost data conflicts/ issues/ requirements.
·Review all the cost-related documents checked by subordinates before signature and instruct further actions/ modifications to be done if required.
·Guide and supervise analyzing the budget baseline and revisions, and the development and update of the project cost breakdown structure (CBS) for each project handled by subordinates.
·Review monthly reports prepared by subordinates before final issuance (in terms of accuracy, consistency and output quality).
·Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Civil)
·Years of Experience: 10-13 years in Project Management function in EPC mega projects (at least 10 years of them in Cost Control).
·Language: Very good English
