Cost Control and Accounting Specialist

The Cost Control and Accounting Specialist will be part of Worley Project Financial Team, and will be responsible for supporting the consultancy services on cost control and accounting aspects provided by Worley.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with Worley Customer on a daily basis.
• Participate in cost management consulting activities to help the Customer ensure the project costs are effectively managed i.e.:
• Review payment schedules;

  • Review payment documents;

    
    

  • Review commercial reports of Project Contractors;

    
    

  • Maintain database for payments and invoices; 

    
    

  • Report on cost progress of the Project.

    
    

• Support Worley Project Financial Team in consultancies related to local accounting regulations, as needed.
• Communicate and report on daily basis to Worley Project Financial Manager.
• Participate in internal & external meetings on the Project. 
• Implement Project Cost Management processes and procedures. 
• Effectively coordinate with other Project personnel in a multicultural environment.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in one or more of the following: project cost control, project accounting, cost estimating. 
• Experience in power sector will be an advantage. 

Special Job Requirements

• Excellent command in MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English both verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Ensuring accuracy in work, such as data entry or document preparation.
• Handling sensitive information with care and professionalism.
