Job Description

We are hiring Cost accountant for a Qatari company located in the Al Obour – Cairo

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the cost accounting system, ensuring accurate and reliable cost information. Develop and implement cost accounting policies and procedures. Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead. Prepare variance analysis reports and provide recommendations for cost improvement. Review and update standard costs periodically to reflect changes in market conditions and manufacturing processes. Value inventory in accordance with accounting standards. Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies. Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures. Calculate product costs for new and existing products. Analyze the cost impact of product changes and process improvements. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts. Prepare budget variance analysis reports and provide recommendations for cost control. Provide recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Support internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with cost accounting regulations.

Job Specifications:

Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Knowledge of financial reporting standards
– Familiarity with ERP systems and cost accounting software.
– Fluent in English is a must
