Job Description
A growing FMCG company specializing in international trade, import/export operations, and product distribution is now hiring a Corporate Lawyer to oversee all legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with Egyptian and international laws.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian corporate laws, labor laws, tax regulations, and international trade laws.
- Advise on legal risks, regulatory changes, and government policies affecting FMCG operations.
- Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to protect company interests.
- Handle corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and business licensing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, supplier agreements, distribution contracts, employment agreements, and service agreements.
- Ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation while protecting the company’s interests.
- Work closely with business teams, finance, and supply chain to align contracts with company strategy.
- Liaise with external legal advisors on complex legal matters and dispute resolution.
- Manage trademark registrations, brand protection, and intellectual property rights for FMCG products.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure advertising, labeling, and product claims comply with legal requirements.
- Represent the company in legal disputes, settlement negotiations, and litigation cases.
- Handle disputes related to contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop strategies to minimize legal risks and protect the company’s financial and operational interests.
- Ensure compliance with Egyptian labor laws, employment contracts, and workplace policies.
Job Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance, preferably in the FMCG, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate law, labor law, tax law, and international trade regulations.
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
- Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Fridays & Saturdays are off
- Work Location: Sheikh Zayed, Cairo, Egypt.
