The Corporate HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a strong HSE culture across the organization. They also manage HSE resources, audits, training, and accident investigations while leading a high-performing safety team.
Key Accountabilities- Develop, implement, and enhance HSE policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and establish preventive measures across projects.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture through training, awareness programs, and policy enforcement.
- Lead investigations of major accidents, review incident reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct site visits and audits to monitor HSE performance and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Manage HSE resources, including personnel, PPE, and equipment, across different projects based on needs.
- Review and approve HSE reports, including weekly and monthly project safety updates.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of HSE resources.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HSE team to enhance their performance and ensure continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with the Training and Development Department to deliver comprehensive HSE training programs.
- Ensure ISO certification compliance and oversee audit processes for safety management systems.
- Establish emergency response plans and procedures to handle workplace incidents effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE initiatives, making improvements as needed.
- Develop and oversee waste management and environmental protection programs.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure HSE standards are integrated into all project phases.
Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in HSE, including 3+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ISO certification processes and occupational health & safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership, risk management, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement HSE policies, training programs, and audits.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and accident investigations.
- Knowledge of PPE management and HSE resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with safety audits, both internal and external.
- Ability to lead and coach a high-performing HSE team.
