Today, we are recruiting for a Consortium Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.


What are my responsibilities?


  • Lead the quality assurance function across the consortium partners, ensuring effective implementation of quality policies, plans, and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, laws, regulations, and contractual obligations, including ISO 9001 and specific rail industry standards.
  • Act as the central quality liaison between consortium members, client representatives, and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Lead internal and external audits, develop corrective and preventive actions, and drive root cause analysis for non-conformities.
  • Identify potential quality risks, assess their impact on project performance, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular quality performance reports to the consortium and project leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Set up and maintain local quality management system according to SIEMENS quality standards.
  • Control non-conformance both externally and internally. Initiate, implement, and verify corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain local supplier audits & internal audits to discover opportunities for improvement.
  • Regular quality reporting, driving the KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) relevant to the respective project phases. In this way, you provide an overview of the current project status and identify critical situations at an early stage.
  • Create, moderate, and drive the implementation of quality assurance measures (Root cause analyses, lessons Learned).
  • Issue and approve requests for deviation/waivers.
  • Site visits of approximately 20-30 percent monthly.
  • Participate in Project Gate Reviews.
  • Establish detailed quality project plans and metrics, work plans, and status reports.
  • Ensure effective collaboration & communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise and/or conduct quality-related methodology/tools (Risk management, identify and conduct
  • Relevant lessons learned, quality gates, NC management, root cause analyses, etc.).
  • Monitor the quality of all the components and services to be provided according to the customer.

What do I need to qualify for this job?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field and recognized qualification on similar projects.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the Quality Assurance with preferable three or more years of relevant experience in the transport industry.
  • Railway system work experience is highly appreciated.
  • Very good experience in working with a multi-national company.
  • Solid work experience in railway projects in the field of Quality Management.
  • Practical knowledge of ISO standards 9001:2015.
  • Proven track records and work experience in quality management.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
