Today, we are recruiting for a Configuration Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.


What are my responsibilities?


  • Update and implementation of the overall configuration management plan and procedures including tool development
  • Clarify the processes and structures for the configuration management tool in cooperation with subsystems involved
  • Design of instructions and drafts for configuration documents and organization of trainings for the configuration management tool for subsystems involved
  • Cooperate with and coordinate of subsystems on data input to ensure continuous traceability of assets
  • Coordinate with external partners to ensure system interface coordination
  • Create of reports for the project manager on the compliance status

What do I need to qualify for this job?


  • Bachler’s Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, preferably with railway-specific specialization.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railway transportation systems and the execution of the construction of rail projects.
  • Technical knowledge of all major subsystems of a railway turnkey project, e.g. Signaling, Railway Communication, Electrification, Power Supply, Rolling Stock, SCADA, Track Work, etc.
  • Extended knowledge of relevant IT systems and tools (e.g., Excel, MS Access VBA programming, and SQL databases)
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Independent and structured approach to work
  • Mediation skills between teams
  • Excellent communication abilities combined with strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of customer and quality orientation
