Job Overview
The Commercial Proposal Developer plays a critical role in ensuring the success of Swiss Hospitality Company’s responses to RFPs and tender invitations. This individual will be responsible for preparing comprehensive commercial proposals by collaborating with suppliers, analyzing internal expenses, and applying precise calculations to produce competitive and accurate pricing. A key aspect of the role involves thoroughly reviewing RFPs to identify all potential costs, including hidden or less obvious expenses, to ensure accurate budgeting and project feasibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Development:
- Develop detailed commercial proposals in response to RFPs and tenders.
- Ensure proposals align with project requirements and company standards.
- Thorough RFP Analysis:
- Carefully review RFP documents to identify all direct, indirect, and hidden costs that may be required for successful project delivery.
- Highlight and account for any overlooked or non-obvious requirements in the project scope.
- Supplier and Partner Coordination:
- Obtain pricing and quotations from suppliers and vendors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to ensure competitive rates and quality service delivery.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and conditions with suppliers and strategic partners to achieve the best outcomes for the company.
- Cost Analysis and Payment Plans:
- Calculate internal expenses related to each RFP, including labor, logistics, and materials.
- Develop comprehensive payment plans for projects, linking payments to deliverables and project timelines.
- Apply appropriate formulas and methodologies to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Bill of Quantities (BoQ):
- Accurately fill out the bill of quantities in RFP documents, ensuring all required details are included.
- Validate quantities and pricing to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Platform Expertise:
- Work extensively on the Etimad platform, ensuring all submissions meet the requirements of Saudi government RFPs.
- Utilize SAP Ariba for supplier management, procurement, and RFP processes.
- Excel and Data Management:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to manage data, create pricing models, and ensure precision in calculations.
- Maintain accurate records of all proposals, costs, and supplier agreements.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the technical proposal team to align commercial proposals with technical requirements.
- Provide regular updates and insights to management on proposal status, supplier negotiations, and pricing strategies.
