Established Pharma are looking for Commercial Excellence Head – ESA (Egypt, Saudi & Africa) Cluster position with the location open to be based in Egypt.


About the role


Commercial Excellence Head leads the planning and execution of commercial excellence strategy by developing tools, guidelines and measuring sales performance to deliver the business objectives through excellent communication & collaborating with commercial leaders & other functions to drive execution of commercial excellence related processes such as sales quotas & incentive payouts as well as efficiency KPIs with the objective of maintaining high quality, maximizing efficiencies, and optimizing resource. This role is also responsible for leading the training and competency development strategy for the commercial functions to make sure that the desired capabilities and skills are built for the individuals to successfully perform in their current jobs.


Commercial Excellence Head is responsible for leading & facilitating Go to Market strategy & required exercises with subsequent salesforce allocation & execution activities to assure appropriate customer identification, segmentation, targeting, and executional follow-up.


This role will require to work across both functions & geographies, influencing multiple stakeholders through strong partnerships and collaboration as well as flexibility. It will be important for the incumbent to embrace new ways of thinking, challenge status quo, anticipate problems and work towards continuous improvement through robust methods of monitoring, measurement, and feedback. Building capabilities within the sales force and preparing them through the transformation journey to learn and adapt will also be an essential factor of the role. This role is required to show great business acumen & analytical capabilities to be able to anticipate both internal & external business trends advising business to proactively overcomes future challenges & capture growth opportunities.


 The role will therefore require the incumbent to leverage business intelligence and analytical tools as well as integrated insights from the field and stakeholders.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work as part of cluster leadership team to drive all initiatives that will deliver planned sales, Division Margin & market share growth, and assure efficient organization.
  • Drive Sales Strategy execution with affiliate Commercial Excellence leads & periodically monitor progress.
  • Work with both global & local team to assure application of Key Strategic Initiatives on time.
  • Build, update, align & monitor Incentive & compensation plan according to Global Guidelines
  • Monitor & follow on affiliate activity KPIs delivery (SFE/Trade/CRM/CLM)
  • Assure efficient, effective & profitable organization through application of S&T exercise, GO-TO-Market & Sales Force Allocation exercises.
  • Coordinate budget allocation for department of Commercial Excellence (including training & SFE projects as well as needed performance management tools)
  • Inspire best practice sharing & crosspollination of sales drivers.
  • Assure required competencies within Commercial Excellence team to maximize deliverables.
  • Boost Data-Driven Decision-making culture with organization to assure timely responses & proactive business moves.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree is required, pharmaceutical or Business Degree is preferred, master’s degree is an added benefit.
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years’ experience in a multinational company, preferably in Healthcare Industry & with project management as well as team lead experience.

         3 – 5 years in similar cluster role experience is preferred.


  • Language: Proficiency in English, Arabic & French is an added benefit.
  • Location: Egypt
  • Ability to travel +30% of time.
  • Excellent communication skills with cross-functional experience
  • Proven track record of achievements.
  • Recommendation letters are an added benefit.
