Duties



The ideal candidate has experience in institutional banking, lending, securities lending, or federal reserve discount window operations.
As a Central Liquidity Facility Assistant Vice President, you will:
Provide expert guidance and advice on credit, lending, and liquidity risk evaluation and assessment to the CLF Vice President and President. Make and administer extensions of credit consistent with relevant provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act, other applicable laws, rules and regulations, and secure collateral associated with extensions of credit. Analyze financial data and accounting information and perform credit and liquidity risk assessments. Develop and plan risk monitoring of credit risk trends of the CLF membership including emerging issues and analysis of Call and Financial Performance Report data and make recommendations to senior CLF management regarding credit. Serve as project manager on special projects. Direct staff efforts on project assignments relative to borrower creditworthiness assessments, lending risks, CLF advance requests and approvals. Create, manage, and maintain facility loan files, CLF loan review tools, databases, and the collateral margins table. Maintain CLF guidance and recommend new and revised guidance concerning CLF lending. Assist leadership in managing the CLF consistent with relevant provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act. Maintain effective relationships with the credit union industry, federal and state regulators, and the trade associations to address issues and concerns.

Qualifications



Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
All applicants applying for the CU-14 level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level obtained in the private or public sector. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience serving as a commercial loan officer or commercial credit officer within a financial institution with authority and experience in underwriting and making recommendations for commercial loan approvals.

SALARY: Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position in accordance with NCUA's compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes the locality rate for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area. Please click to review all salary ranges based on locality.
