Job Description

  • Conduct regular audits and spot checks on cash operations, focusing on cash counting, vault management, and cash transfers
  • Collaborate with cash operations teams to implement process improvements and address recurring issues effectively
  • Ensure compliance with all cash-handling processes and procedures
  • Monitor daily cash transactions and balances to identify and address discrepancies or variances promptly
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to overages, shortages, and misallocations of funds
  • Generate reports for management that highlight trends, issues, and areas for improvement in cash-handling processes
  • Analyze cash transactions across branches, identifying unsettled amounts and tracking them
  • Prepare and follow up on daily reports concerning branch settlement arrears to ensure timely resolution
  • Identify and assess potential risks within the cash operations process, including fraud, theft, and operational inefficiencies
  • Maintain accuracy and minimize risks in cash operations, which is critical to the overall financial health of the organization
