Backend Developer

Homzmart is an end to end community that connects home professionals with homeowners who can browse home designs, furniture, accessories and products and also can find reviews, referring professionals, take advice from professionals and read articles about home improvement.

• Develop new functionalities to meet product team requirements, ensuring high-quality code.
• Write efficient, reusable, and thoroughly documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Actively participate in daily scrum meetings and collaborate with the development team in brain-storming and decision-making activities.
• Support the project life cycle from beginning to launch, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
• Develop service extensions to optimize project development and enhance overall performance.
• Perform essential tasks related to project configuration, setup, debugging, and other project-related activities.
• Deploy projects to real customer environments, ensuring smooth implementation and functionality.
• Prepare estimations of development efforts for accurate project planning and resource allocation.
• Orchestrate the development workflow, ensuring efficient collaboration and timely delivery of milestones.
• Profile projects after launch to identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PHP web development, with a strong background in PHP object-oriented programming and MVC applications.
• real-world e-commerce experience, specifically with Magento development is a plus
• Deep knowledge of e-commerce development technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of source control systems and versioning.
• Competency in MySQL-based database concepts, with experience in database design and optimization.
• Good understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, and component integration.
• Demonstrated expertise in extending Magento extensions and resolving dependencies between them.
• Experience in web services integration, particularly with payment and shipping gateways (REST/SOAP).
• Comfortable working with Linux-based systems, with a solid understanding of command-line operations
