Job Description

Role Overview: As the Assistant IT Manager / IT Manager, you will lead the IT team in daily operations and provide vital support to all hotel departments. This includes offices and outlets. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability of critical systems, addressing technical issues for guests, and resolving any operational glitches that may occur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the 24/7 availability of critical systems, including Front Office Property Management System "Opera Cloud," Wi-Fi (Aruba AP), and Food & Beverage Point of Sales (Simphony) systems.
  • Install and manage physical and virtual Windows servers in a Hyper-V Failover Cluster.
  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues related to server hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure software. Ensure timely Problem Management and escalation.
  • Implement Backup & Recovery of systems and conduct test restores using Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Administer Office 365, Active Directory, Sophos, and other communication tools.
  • Configure network routers, switches, and managed Wi-Fi solutions.
  • Administer NVRs (Network Video Recorder) for IP surveillance cameras.
  • Perform system performance trend analysis, recommend configuration changes, and participate in planning system upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for repeatable processes governing the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of system applications.
  • Create and maintain operational tools/scripts for hardware and OS monitoring and task automation / report generation.

Personal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience (preferred in hotel or hospitality-related information technology).
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Problem-solving abilities and technical writing skills.
  • Passion for IT systems and solutions.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Must be available for on-call duty, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
